Ten of the eleven major manufacturers increased fuel economy from MY 2011 to MY 2012, the last two years for which EPA has definitive data. (VW In MY 2012, for the 11 manufacturers shown, Mazda had the lowest fleet-wide adjusted composite CO 2 emissions and highest adjusted fuel economy performance, followed by Honda.
