ZF electric driveline to premiere in Formula E with Venturi

The German HWA Racelab team will enter the Formula E as a Venturi customer team and acquire its vehicles from Monaco-based Venturi. As part of their partnership, ZF supplied the Monaco-based Venturi team with shock absorbers for its cars and developed a new transmission for season four.

At the Monaco Grand Prix circuit, where Formula E recently ran the full course for the first time, an F1 car driven by the likes of Lewis Hamilton is faster by at least 10 seconds per lap, an embarrassing eternity in racing terms. The cars feature recyclable batteries and bodies made from linen and recycled carbon fiber from last year’s cars.
