Hyundai will initially offer the Sonata Plug-in Hybrid in the ZEV states—California, Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island and Vermont—in 2015. Hyundai is identifying Ford’s Fusion Energi and the Honda Accord plug-in hybrid as its PHEV competitors in the mid-size sedan segment.
