The EPA fuel economy numbers of 21 mpg city/26 highway/23 combined are almost exactly what we got covering 301 miles driving through Southern California. It wouldn’t be a surprise if the next generation RDX is a hybrid or plug-in hybrid to get that fuel economy into the mid-30 miles per gallon range.

Out on the freeway, Comfort provided a comfortable ride and was preferred to Eco, where the acceleration response, gearshift points and air conditioning were reduced to get the best fuel economy. These are the fuel economy ratings for each engine, with rear wheel drive (RWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD.) RWD 21/31/24.

The all-new 2022 Genesis GV70 slots in just below the larger GV80 SUV, both of which will be joined soon by the all-electric GV60. Running on unleaded premium, the EPA has rated the fuel economy at 19 mpg city/25 highway/21 combined. Using the same 8-speed automatic, the fuel economy is 22 city/28 highway/24 combined.
