Industry survey finds aluminum use in autos at all-time high; average per vehicle use expected to more than double from 2012 by 2025

Using aluminum will extend the efficiencies of other technologies, while enabling secondary cost-savings from downsized powertrains without sacrificing performance. According to the report, future growth in auto aluminum usage will be primarily driven by these and other applications being converted from steel.
