For a plug-in hybrid it is, but those prices are some $15,000 more than the equivalent Outlander petrol versions. Is it good value?

Weighing in at 700kg – just 60kg than the less powerful petrol-fed three-wheeler – the XP-1 will deliver a range of up to 240km and be capable of covering more than 160km even in cold weather. Each mode then offers different throttle maps and alters the amount of brake regeneration.

Powered by a single electric motor, the rear-wheel drive 2025 Volkswagen ID.3 3 GTX has a very respectable range courtesy of its new 84kWh lithium-ion battery.

Hyundai Partnering with Korean battery companies for hybrids. Mazda Ford Partner was reported to be developing Series PHEV based on Mazda 5 MPV platform. They will buy a car and rent or lease the battery and the cost of leasing the battery will be the same as, or less than, the cost theyre paying today for petrol.
