A handful of bidirectional-capable EVs are available today, and automakers are quickly implementing the technology. Charged : Does the bill refer to both of those options or does it leave it open? The hybrid models available today use lead-acid ornickel-metal hydride batteries that are are proven, reliable, and fairlycheap, but their limited storage capacity means that the cars’ driving rangeusing electricity alone is short. Electric cars remain dependent on the development of better,affordable batteries.
