Stanford scientists identify new Li-B-S solid electrolyte materials that boost lithium-ion battery performance

The low-cost materials—made of lithium, boron and sulfur—could improve the safety and performance of electric cars, laptops and other battery-powered devices, according to the scientists. Most lithium-ion batteries have a negatively charged electrode made of graphite.
