First, it had to halt production due to supply issues amid problems with cargo ships getting through the Gulf of Aden and the Bab al-Mandeb Strait due to the civil war in Yemen. Now, Tesla had to stop production and evacuate the factory today amid a potential sabotage of its power supply. This is a net positive.

Tesla shutting down Berlin factory for 2 weeks due to Red Sea shipping attacks

Tesla cars being shipped to Europe Tesla will shut down its Berlin gigafactory for about two weeks, from January 29 to February 11, due to a lack of components as a result of a Red Sea blockade, according to Reuters. We’ve heard about Red Sea supply disruptions before, but these are different than those we’ve experienced in the past.
