The MiEV runs on a lithium-ion battery pack that can be charged in seven or so hours on a 240-volt line. Tax credit incentives are also available to consumers in the U.S. Today we could be using lead-acid EVs, lead-carbon-acid EVs, or nickel metal hydride or lithium-ion hybrids.
