Reported Sales of US Hybrids Up 48.6% in August; 3.07% Market Share

Reported hybrid sales represented 3.07% of new vehicle sales in August. All comparisons here are by volume, not adjusted for the daily selling rate.). All comparisons are by volume. Hybrids had an especially good month, with reported sales jumping 31.8% Monthly sales of hybrids. Retail sales were down 9% while fleet sales declined 47%. Nissan sold 1,030 units of the Altima hybrid, up 44.1% Total Altima sales were down 21.2% to 443, 297 units.
