Electric cars remain dependent on the development of better,affordable batteries. General Motors held out the hope of makingthe Ampera for Europe at Ellesmere Port but in its current beleaguered statewill confine E-Flex production to one plant in America. So the car uses an electrical store to power the drive motor.
