Mitsui O.S.K. Lines pays $253K to CARB for violating at-berth regulations

The rule requires container, passenger and refrigerated cargo ships to reduce emissions while docked at California’s busiest ports, including Los Angeles, Long Beach, Oakland, Hueneme, San Francisco and San Diego. The violations were discovered during routine audits of the company’s 2017 and 2018 vessel fleet visits to the Port of Oakland.

California Air Resources Board settles with COSCO Container Lines for $965,000; >2,600 air quality violations from 2014-2017

The violations were discovered during routine audits of the Shanghai-based company’s 2014-2017 fleet visits to the Port of Los Angeles/Long Beach and the Port of Oakland. The California Air Resources Board announced that COSCO Container Lines Co., has paid $965,000 in penalties for violating the Ocean-Going At-Berth Regulation.

Meritor collaborating with Peterbilt on all-electric Class 8 trucks; selects UQM as supplier for e-axles

At WasteExpo 2017, Peterbilt displayed a Model 520 refuse truck equipped with the Transpower ElecTruck drive system, which has accumulated over 80,000 miles of Class 8 heavy duty use in a variety of commercial applications since 2013. The development program between the two companies was initially announced in February 2017.

California ARB to hold community meetings on coming LEV III combined tailpipe and GHG regulations
