Volkswagen Group of America announced it will introduce a new battery-electric compact SUV in the US in 2020. The new SUV will be based on the I.D. CROZZ concept vehicle ( earlier post ), which is making its North American debut at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show. The new SUV will offer a range of more than 200 miles.

This model, which launches in 2020, is not only an important pillar of Volkswagen’s electric mobility campaign, but is also part of Volkswagen’s current SUV campaign. CROZZ was presented in Shanghai in April 2017. The basic concept of a crossover that combines an SUV with a four-door coupé has been further sharpened in this design.

It was established in 2017 and is based in Gothenburg, Sweden, where Volvo has been for a long time (although the Polestar 2 is built in China). Range is 233 miles, which is good, if not the best in the market. You will notice that it’s a handsome, premium-grade midsize car that looks like a tall sedan (it’s actually a hatchback).
