McLaren investing £1B in R&D over new 6-year plan; 50% of cars to feature hybrid tech by 2022

Research engineers at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, England, are also in the early prototype stages of the development of a fully-electric powertrain to evaluate its possible use in a future generation of an Ultimate Series car. At least 50% of McLaren cars will feature hybrid technology by 2022. But we won’t stop there.
