So imagine a million electric cars on US roads which all need to change these batteries in say 2015. But that cost in a built as an EV is much less than an ICE’s costs by about 1/2. In most conversions cost is about the same because of needless weight. Now add much cheaper materials and NiMH is now obsolete.
