Buoyed by the US government’s CARS (“Cash for Clunkers”) program, US auto sales slowed their decline in the US in July, dropping on 12.1% All comparisons are by volume. Compared to June 2009, volume was up nearly 12,000 vehicles. compared to June 2009. Retail sales for July 2009 were 76,693 units.
