AvtoVAZ launches 3 concepts at Moscow Motor Show; collaboration with Renault-Nissan

AvtoVAZ, the largest automaker based in Russia, a part of Rostec Corporation, introduced three new LADA concept cars at the Moscow International Motor Show 2014. Having become a shareholder of AvtoVAZ in 2008, Rostec appointed a group of managers to develop AvtoVAZ in 2009. Production is scheduled to start in 2016 in Togliatti.

Daimler Trucks Boosts Stake in Russian Truck Manufacturer KAMAZ to 11%

Daimler Trucks began a strategic partnership with KAMAZ, Russian Technologies and Troika Dialog in December 2008, when Daimler acquired a 10% stake in KAMAZ. The sales headquarters for Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Buses as well as Setra Coaches in Russia will remain in Moscow.

Renault-Nissan jointly developing new vehicle program for growth markets; CMF-A for affordability

When the Renault-Nissan Alliance formed in 1999, about 1% of total group sales came from the so-called BRIC countries of Brazil, Russia, India and China. The factory, which produces the Renault Pulse, Scala and Duster, and the Nissan Micra, Sunny and Evalia, represents an investment of about US$1 billion, or 45 billion INR from 2008 to 2015.
