BYD – Chinese car maker (the name means Build Your Dreams) has huge plans for Australia, including a range of SUVs and a sports sedan. Arriving 2022. First deliveries due Q3 2022.

In late 2008, BYD started selling the first production PHEV in China. Has shown some concept fuel-cell PHEVs. First Escape PHEV delivered to SCE Nov 2007; 20 in 2008-2009.
