Audi’s diesel hybrid racer takes grid position one at Le Mans

The new Audi R18 e-tron quattro diesel hybrid ( earlier post ) will start the 80 th running of Le Mans from grid position one. Le Mans record winner Tom Kristensen in the number “2” Audi R18 e-tron quattro set the fourth-fastest lap (3m 25.433s) behind the quickest hybrid vehicle from Toyota. But this is just a very small step.

Audi to compete with hybrid drive at Le Mans for the first time; prototype to be presented at end of February
