Diesel vehicles posted their lowest market share since 2001, as demand fell by double digits in 20 of the 27 markets included in JATO’s analysis, with the biggest drops in the UK (-30%), Scandinavia (-22%) and Benelux (-22%).

Within the scope of an agreement signed in November 2017 ( earlier post ), Eni and FCA have developed “A20”, a new fuel with a low level of emissions due to its 15% methanol and 5% bio-ethanol alcohol content. An initial test run of five Fiat 500s from the Eni Enjoy fleet in Milan ended successfully a few weeks ago.

SEUL is a two-year project that commenced in April 2017. Electric vehicles are an integral component within UPS’s alternative fuel and advanced technology fleet. UPS has a long history with EVs, having first introduced them into its fleet in the 1930s, and, reintroduced modern EVs in 2001. in 2016.

on H1 2017, the growth recorded in Germany, France and Spain allowed the overall market to keep growing. The fuel type accounted for just 37% of the total market—its lowest share since 2001. It also recorded more registrations of its alternative fuel types, which counted for 6% of its total volume.
