Hey, wanna buy a Lotus?

This 2011 Lotus Evora S with 51,000 miles and a manual transmission might be your speed.

The car appears to be well-maintained and the seller says it's "well-sorted".

Mods include a carbon-fiber louvered rear window, carbon fiber sail panel, a GT4-style wing, modified tail lights, Alcantara steering wheel, rear subwoofers, front tweeters, and Recaro seats. The intake, exhaust, clutch, flywheel, and shifter are all modded.

The brakes are also upgraded -- and there's even more I am not listing here for the sake of brevity.

Some of the downsides include flawed paint and some cosmetic issues on the inside and undercarriage.

Click here to see this Wisconsin-based car -- note the Road America license plate, I approve -- that has an ask of $55,000.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

  • SCE to AUX Rivian claims the R2 will start around $45k.Not switching to NACS sooner than later is a mystery.I wonder where they will source the LFP battery; I think Tesla's LFP batteries come from China, which reduces or eliminates their Federal subsidy when used.
  • Tassos Toyota might, but I sure as hell will NOT.On the other hand, if you got a mint LS460 pre-2012 Flagship (after that they hit it with the fugly stick up front), let me know. Esp if it is the Sports version.

I am thinking of you and taking steps to make good on my R2 reservation. I also think of you when the very fine EDV 700 stops by.
