Used Car of the Day: 1967 Scout International 800 Harvester

There's very little ad copy for this 1967 Scout International 800 Harvester. So little, in fact, that I almost didn't feature it.


All we're told is that it "runs good." The pictures show it needs some cosmetic work, though it seems to be in decent shape.

You'll have to call the owner if you actually have an interest in buying this thing. Again, we're not here to sell these cars -- we're not Bring a Trailer -- but to simply highlight cool cars we see for sale in our parent company's forums. And for me, Scouts are cool as hell.

If you think the same way I do, you can browse the pictures here. Whether or not you have any intent to purchase this Scout, you can at least kill five minutes of your boss's time and gawk at it.

    If this ridiculous relic is a "used car of the day" then I am His Majesty the Emperor of China.


    But I am not surprised at any of Tim's laughable finds any more.

      The normal greeting to the Chinese Emperor was 皇上 Huáng shang roughly 'Imperial majesty'. In his absence the Emperor was often referred to as 万岁爷 Wàn suì yé 'Lord for countless years' particularly by his eunuchs [sure Tassos would know THAT one]

  • Bd2 See guys it's like this : they say a that if you pay a man enough he will walk barefoot to hell and this Kia dealership could be analogized as hell with the Telluride being the holy grail of under $100K SUVs. Kia vehicles are so good, buyers are willing to tolerate the worst, sleaziest, nastiest, unethical and incompetent dealership experience just to park themselves in the best of the best instead of settling for a Lexus or Toyota or even an Acura. It's just a testament to the hard working young personnel at Hyundai Kia Genesis factories across Ala-BAM-A! who really give it their all including their lives to build the best that keeps the customer coming back no matter how terrible the front line dealership is. Let that sink in.

  • THX1136 One thing the government does well is not look to the future when considering lawmaking/regulation of industries along with legislating via exceptions. Appreciate the article and the discussions. Don't think this is a 'one size fits all' situation. That, along with legislators who don't have the will to legislate what's best for all instead of the few. Probably wrong on that, but I've been wrong before. Got to keep my averages up, ya know.

If you look at NIssan's moves from this lens things start to make more sense with the added bonus of eliminating warranty claims on subpar CVTs. If their plan is less emphasis on Japan, North America, and Europe where many better competitors are available and more in developing markets it could prove to be a wise move.
