Have We Reached Peak EV (Part Two)?
Last week we were discussing electric vehicles with BJ Birtwell, who likely would consider himself and EV evangelist, and Alex Knizek from Consumer Reports, who noted that seven of this year's top 10 vehicles were electrified.
This week we dig deeper into what is happening with the EV market.
We do so with Dave Thomas, the Director of Content Marketing at CDK Global. He walks us through what's happening and his ideas on how best to speed up an transition to an EV future.
I also spend a few minutes chatting about work gloves with Matthew Guy.
As always, you can find our podcast at the following places: Spotify, Apple, Google, Amazon, and iHeart Radio. And here.
Thanks for listening and have a great weekend!

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

Ford is offering $15K off MSRP for the EV F150 and cheap financing. A dealer near me must have 50 of them in the lot just sitting next to the long line of EV Mustangs that are collecting dust.
People with homes can home charge. Apartment life will always charge away from Apartment and more expensive. Like some say about hybrids, catalytic converter theft. Need built in shields. Still wondering when auto manufacturers will bring back std cab long bed small trucks. VW caddy, S-10, courier EV. I pester for Ram promoter city pickup with long box 8' hybrid or EV. Or at least like fiat workup flat bed, tilt bed option. Chrysler Pacifica needs to spin off into multiple vehicles. Using EV or Hybrid system. Plus a body a customizer, aftermarket would love to supply parts to similar to the PT Cruiser after market loved that vehicle.
Some of us hope that TTAC has reached peak articles on EV but fear that they haven't. Still hope for peak EV articles. There are definitely peak trolls on EVs.
I know we've reached peak using "peak" in that context.
