Ford Added a $4,995 Appearance Package for the 2024 Bronco Raptor
The Ford Bronco Raptor was already expensive enough even without dealer markups, but the automaker has figured out a way to make it even pricier. Under the darkness of the eclipse on Monday, Ford announced the Bronco Raptor Black Appearance Package. The $4,995 option adds to the $90,305 (before destination) starting price and mostly amounts to decals and painted exterior trim to the beefy SUV without changing its performance or capability.
The package blacks out many parts of the exterior trim, including the roof, mirrors, roll bar, and fender flares. It also adds a matte black steel bumper, tow hooks, and skid plates. Ford said the painting follows the customizations many customers have done on their own, including painting the skid plates.
Though the Bronco Raptor’s performance remains unchanged with the package, the good news is that it didn’t need much help to begin with. The turbocharged 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 makes an impressive 418 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque, which reaches all four wheels through a ten-speed automatic transmission. That powertrain enables a sub-six-second 0-60 mph time, and the Raptor can tow up to 4,500 pounds when properly equipped.
Ford also gave the Raptor a range of off-road goodies, including Fox adaptive dampers, 17-inch wheels wrapped in 37-inch all-terrain tires, and up to 13 inches of wheel travel in the front and 14 in the back. At the same time, the interior gets nice tech goodies, including a 12-inch digital gauge cluster, a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen, and wireless smartphone mirroring.
