The Automobili Pininfarina Battista Cinquantacinque is a hyper GT that pays homage to the 1955 Lancia Florida, a vehicle designed by Battista 'Pinin' Farina. The Lancia Florida is revered for its innovative design and was the daily vehicle of choice for Farina, the founder of Carrozzeria Pininfarina. This influence is evident in the Battista Cinquantacinque's design, featuring a Blu Savoia Gloss body and a Bianco Sestriere Gloss roof, mirroring the classic color scheme of the Lancia Florida.

Design and Heritage

The Battista Cinquantacinque is named after the Italian word for '55,' celebrating the year the Lancia Florida was showcased. This model includes several inscriptions that highlight its rich lineage, including a 'Cinquantacinque 55' signature on the passenger door plate and the underside of the active rear wing. The interior boasts bespoke Mahagoni Heritage Leather upholstery, contributing to its refined aesthetic.

Advanced Performance

Powered by four independent electric motors coupled with a 120 kWh lithium-ion battery, the Battista Cinquantacinque delivers an impressive 1,900 horsepower and 2,340 Nm of torque. This setup enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0-100 kph in just 1.86 seconds and reach 200 kph in 4.75 seconds. It also offers a driving range of up to 476 kilometers, making it both powerful and practical for longer journeys.

Global Debut and Personalization

Scheduled to be unveiled in Tokyo, Japan, the Battista Cinquantacinque exemplifies Automobili Pininfarina's expansion into global markets. This launch will be an opportunity for clients in the region to experience the company's commitment to personalized luxury, as each vehicle is tailored to reflect the individual's preferences.

Future Vision

The design of the Battista Cinquantacinque also influenced the PURA Vision design concept, which serves as a blueprint for future Automobili Pininfarina models. This concept features Lounge Doors that open dramatically upwards, enhancing accessibility and echoing the design ethos of the Lancia Florida.

Savoy Blue is a thing, but Sestriere White? Sestriere is a ski town near Turin, so I guess it meant to conjure up thoughts of snow. Pretty car. I hope Pininfarina has success. The industry in and around Turin has taken a big hit and is a shadow of its former self.
  • Dartdude Typical Joe, bribing people for votes. He will do anything to re-elected, but as soon as he is he will go back on everything he says and does. America has never been this venerable as it is today. NO country respect Joe and what he says.
  • Theflyersfan Since I'm one of a couple of IT guys that supports the network, server administration, and all things computer related at a 24/7 logistics center (only closed on Christmas), I have to work some of the long weekend. But there's still time after we close early on Monday to fire up the grill and smoker, have a few friends over and scarf down some smoky rubbed ribs and burgers. Remember those soldiers who have died. I'm sure those in my generation had grandfathers who fought in WW2 and fathers who fought in Vietnam. I have my grandfather's dog tags and his enlistment card framed as a reminder of the sacrifices they made and to honor his memory.
  • FreedMike Doff of the cap to those who served.
  • Master Baiter Pool maintenance: Add chemicals; clean salt cell; clean filter elements.
  • Rollin I love the looks. I mean, sure, I look at every car these days and can't help thinking that it'd be great if the rear window belt line were 6" lower, so that the view would not be just of cars' rooflines, but the actual cars themselves. That way my 'brain' could build up a 360° picture of the surrounding traffic, without having to strain, because my eyes haven't really seen any cars, just a bunch of rooflines (most of them gray in colour). And the C pillar could be thinner. Yeah, I really want someone to resurrect BMW 2002 styling from the '70s, as far as that goes. But in a hatch, of course. Also, if it had a hybrid powertrain, or ICE with a planetary gear transmission... Or a manual. In brown, I know...
