Refreshed Vauxhall Crossland revealed ahead of 2021 launch
The refreshed all-new Vauxhall Crossland is now available, with prices starting from £19,060 for entry-level models and rising to £27,430 for the range-topping Ultimate Nav.
With deliveries for the company’s smallest SUV set to commence imminently, here’s what you need to know.
Exterior
The new Crossland borrows styling cues from the latest Mokka and also gets rid of the ‘X’ moniker of its predecessor. Prices are to be confirmed, but we expect list prices to start from around £20,000.
On the outside, the styling of the Crossland is largely influenced by the new Mokka, with the front benefiting from the same ‘Vizor’ styling that features on the larger car.
This means a larger grille that stretches across the entire width of the car. The headlights are now LED as standard, although they resemble the older car rather than the new Mokka.
Larger air intakes and thicker black cladding helps give it a more rugged appeal than before, and certainly resembles more of an SUV than rivals such as the Ford Puma and Renault Captur.
Interior
Changes are less dramatic on the inside, but there’s a new infotainment system and practicality has improved too thanks to a split sliding rear seat that allows you to balance load space and rear legroom; up to 520 litres is available with the seats fully forward.
Trims
The range kicks off with SE which comes with 16in alloy wheels, automatic LED headlights, a 7in touchscreen infotainment system and lane-departure warning as standard. Next up is the SE Nav Premium which introduces features such as a reversing camera, front and rear parking sensors, LED fog lights, satnav and a larger 8in touchscreen.
Featuring larger 17in alloy wheels and a contrasting paint job, the SRi Nav model is the mid-range option and includes the same specification as the SE Nav Premium but with a sporty flair. If you want leather trim and heated seats, you’ll have to choose the Elite.
The Elite Nav is also available and adds a satnav along with a wireless smartphone charger and a surround-view parking camera.
At the time of the range is the Ultimate Nav which features Alcantara-effect interior upholstery, keyless start and go and a range of external enhancements including contrasting roof rails.
Engines
Engine-wise, the new Crossland gets four options: two petrols and two diesels. The petrol units on offer use a 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine that produces either 82bhp or 128bhp.
A singular 1.5-litre diesel makes up the other two options offering either 108bhp or 118bhp. Both petrol and diesel models. The most potent petrol and diesel units are available with a six-speed automatic gearbox.
