Recap: Exhibiting at the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo and Honoring Our Customers

EV Connect’s Booth #1927 at the ACT Expo

EV Connect, Inc. was proud to be a part of a record setting Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo in Long Beach, California. Among 200 clean vehicle and fleet exhibitors, EV Connect shared our robust clean vehicle fleet solution platform with over 8,000 clean tech conference attendees.

Increased US government funding and legislative support at both state and federal levels has large in part contributed to the surge in Expo attendance, along with a general interest in a cleaner and greener future. Set amongst the backdrop of a bustling port community in Long Beach, the need for widespread clean fleet adoption was emphasized among the traditionally fueled truck-dominated highways surrounding the Expo, and their impact on the surrounding air and noise volume in the neighborhood.

Demos of EV Connect’s Fleet Solution to Attendees

Our open-standards solution was showcased alongside many of our hardware partners’ exhibitions demonstrating our software solution’s versatility. EV Connect’s platform has been built to easily adapt to many use cases and empower fleet operators to manage the complex infrastructure necessary to satisfy the evolving needs of EV fleets.

Attendees who stopped by EV Connect’s booth were able to tap into our in-house fleet expertise and were impressed by our long-standing industry knowledge and established working relationships. Many of whom experienced real-time demos of our fleet product dashboard, booth visitors experienced how our solution is customized for specific use cases based upon individual customer needs.

Alongside the Expo, EV Connect welcomed nearly 100 guests to a casual reception event which culminated with a sustainability program. Affecting meaningful change cannot happen without our customers, clients, and partners; during our reception, we recognized two companies that are creating a greener future.

Powering What’s Next Award

Avista Utilities recognized for their forward-thinking strategies with EV charging.

Ram Ambatipudi, EV Connect Co-Founder and Senior Vice President of Energy and Utilities, presented our 2022 Powering What’s Next award to Avista Utilities. A partner since 2019 with over 30 connectors, Avista is poised to add 17 DCFC stations to charge their fleet and provide on-the-go clean fuel to public Inland Pacific Northwest communities within the 2022 calendar year. Kevin Hennessey, Fleet Services Product Manager, accepted the award on behalf of Avista noting that their past light duty fleet support from EV Connect has been second-to-none, emphasizing the positive outlook for our continued shared cleantech projects.

Commitment to Sustainability Award

Caltrans recognized for their commitment to sustainability initiatives.

David Huges, Senior Vice President of Strategic Accounts at EV Connect, recognized Caltrans with our 2022 Commitment to Sustainability Award. Having partnered with us since 2014, Caltrans has over 300 connectors at 37 sites powering their light duty fleet in their maintenance and construction stations. Accepted by Abbas Pourheidari, Statewide Facilities Project Manager, Caltrans plans to become the greenest Department of Transportation fleet in the United States.

Both the Expo, and our reception event, far exceeded predicted attendee numbers – this is indicative of our shared vision of a cleaner and greener future. As the Expo itself plans to expand in 2023 to a larger space for exhibitors and attendees, the EV fleet revolution is no longer quietly circling the block – Electric Vehicle fleets are here for the long-haul.

EV Connect meetings extended outward from our booth into the aisle of the show floor.
