Used Car of the Day: 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt

I have a soft spot for Bullitt Mustangs, and this 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt that comes to us by way of New Mexico has piqued my interest.

It has a salvage title, so that raises a red flag, but the seller claims to have all the necessary CarFax info and that there was no airbag deployment.

There are 81,000 miles on the car and it's daily driven.

The seller has listed mods such as Ford Racing cams, a Ford Racing driveshaft, a tune, BBK headers and X pipe, upgraded mufflers, short-throw shifter, cross-drilled rotors, carbon-fiber duck-tail spoiler, and uplevel audio.

The car also has new springs, struts, shocks, and idler pulleys.

There are more -- you can see the full list here.

The seller also has the stock parts.

Check it out here.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

That creep Patrick S. Tomlinson @stealthygeek forever ruined these for anyone who’s had the misfortune of stumbling across his lunacy

his has a salvage title just like this one but about 3x the miles and is in desperate need of new seat foam. He’s fat, you see.

This is a proper turd with the crusty 4.6 modular engine, oof.

  • FreedMike Doff of the cap to those who served.
  • Master Baiter Pool maintenance: Add chemicals; clean salt cell; clean filter elements.
  • Rollin I love the looks. I mean, sure, I look at every car these days and can't help thinking that it'd be great if the rear window belt line were 6" lower, so that the view would not be just of cars' rooflines, but the actual cars themselves. That way my 'brain' could build up a 360° picture of the surrounding traffic, without having to strain, because my eyes haven't really seen any cars, just a bunch of rooflines (most of them gray in colour). And the C pillar could be thinner. Yeah, I really want someone to resurrect BMW 2002 styling from the '70s, as far as that goes. But in a hatch, of course. Also, if it had a hybrid powertrain, or ICE with a planetary gear transmission... Or a manual. In brown, I know...
