10,000 Think City electric cars in 2009. Think says it has battery supply contracts with three companies, and is moving into production. With its modest volumes, it also remains unclear how Think will cope when bigger competitors such as Renault/Nissan and Daimler come to market with their own electric cars.

A few items before I head out to Black Rock City for two weeks. Although Black Rock City probably has the worst air in the west during its brief annual existence, it is where I had my first electric transport epiphany. Their Rechargeit.org campaign really makes the connections between renewable power and plug-in cars.
