Toyota to debut NS4 advanced plug-in hybrid concept and Prius c at 2012 North American International Auto Show

Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc., will debut NS4, an advanced plug-in hybrid concept vehicle, at the 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The reveal will feature the world premiere of the concept vehicle as well as the North American debut of the Prius c hybrid during Toyota’s news conference on 10 January.

The subcompact Prius c (earlier post) will join the third-generation Prius Liftback hybrid vehicle, the new Prius v midsize hybrid vehicle and the Prius Plug-in Hybrid model. Positioned as an entry into the Prius Family, the Prius c is said to offer fuel economy better than 50 mpg US (4.7 L/100km) in the city.

The baby Prius (c) may become an efficient city car at around $20K with fuel consumption close to 60 mpg for light footed drivers. With four different Prius available in 2012, HEV buyers will have more choices.
