The Morgan Motor Company is launching the three-wheeled Morgan EV3 , the company’s first production electric vehicle, at the Geneva Motor Show. Taking inspiration from 1930’s aero-engine race cars, classic motorcycles and 1950’s fantasy automatons, the face of the EV3 is designed to function.

We first wrote about the Triac three-wheel electric vehicle back in 2010. Made by Green Vehicles of Salinas, California, it touted a 100-mile range, an 80 mph top speed, and a price tag of $25,000. Faced with worldwide emissions regulations and rising gas prices, the small engine market is migrating from mechanical carbureted systems to cleaner, more efficient electronic control and electronic fuel injection (EFI). Despite having seen them around for years, they were models I had long assumed would be marginally better than the atrocious three-wheeled motorcycles offered by Harley-Davidson.
