Vattenfall contracts with BMW for up to 1,000 new 33 kWh Li-ion batteries this year for storage projects in wind farms

AC Propulsion sends eBox EV to Denmark for V2G research focused on buffering intermittent renewable energy

AC Propulsion has delivered an AC Propulsion-powered eBox to the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), where it will be used to evaluate Vehicle to Grid (V2G) operation as part of a research program. The eBox was the model for BMW’s MINI E EV which uses the same AC Propulsion drive system and battery as the eBox.

BMW i home energy storage system integrates 2nd-life i3 vehicle batteries

The BMW Concept ActiveE follows the all-electric MINI E as the second large-scale electric vehicle test program to be conducted in the hands of interested customers. On the European power grid, the battery pack can be fully charged in just 3 hours at a wall box with a current of 50 ampere at 230/240 volts.
