Chevrolet Volt demo vehicles begin arriving at dealerships

Chevrolet dealerships in the initial launch markets of California, Connecticut, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Virginia and Washington, DC will be receiving dedicated Volt demonstration vehicles for customer test drives over the next few weeks. Chevy expects to deliver Volts in all 50 states by the end of 2011.

EIA: California home to almost half of US plug-in electric vehicles

Maryland offers a tax credit of $125 for each kilowatthour of battery capacity of an EV, up to $3,000. For instance, DTE Energy in Michigan offers customers discounted electricity rates at off-peak hours if they install a 240-volt Level 2 charger. ZEVs include vehicles powered by electricity or hydrogen fuel cells.
