Elcora options to purchase existing manganese mine in Morocco; additive to Atlas Fox

Elcora Advanced Materials has signed , through its Ermazon SARL wholly owned subsidiary, a binding agreement with exclusive long-term mining production rights and option to purchase a 16 km² manganese mining concession in Morocco. The artisanal production run rate at the deposit was then approximately 2,500 metric tonnes / month.

Elcora receives manganese production license in Morocco

Canada-based battery materials company Elcora Advanced Materials has received , through its Ermazon SARL wholly owned subsidiary (purchased in December 2021), a manganese exploitation license from the Moroccan government for the Atlas Fox Deposit in the country. Manganese ore 37% sells at about US$331 / metric ton on the international market.

BMW Group sources sustainable cobalt worth around €100M from Morocco for fifth-gen batteries

Recently the BMW Group signed a cobalt supply contract with Moroccan mining company Managem Group ; the contract has a volume of around €100 million, said Andreas Wendt, member of the Board of Management of BMW AG responsible for Purchasing and Supplier Network. Managem is one of the world’s 5 largest producers of high-purity cobalt cathodes.

ZF signs multi-year supply agreement with STMicroelectronics for silicon carbide devices for new inverters

The technology group ZF will, from 2025, purchase silicon carbide (SiC) devices from STMicroelectronics. ST will manufacture the silicon carbide chips at its production fabs in Italy and Singapore with packaging of the chips into STPAK, an ST-developed advanced package, and testing at its back-end facilities in Morocco and China.
