Energtek Signs MoU to Implement Low-Pressure Mobile Pipeline Technology in Serbia and Macedonia

a developer of Adsorbed Natural Gas (ANG) technology, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a local energy supplier for the joint implementation of Energtek’s natural gas Low-Pressure Mobile Pipeline (LMP) distribution technology in the Republics of Serbia and Macedonia. ANG tube trailers—to industrial consumers and fleets of small vehicles. Serbia and Macedonia are among the countries with the most underdeveloped gas pipeline network in Europe.

Van Hool ships first CX45E electric coach to the US; 10 more to follow in 1H 2021; Proterra batteries, Siemens traction system

Van Hool, an independent Belgian manufacturer of buses, coaches and industrial vehicles, has shipped the first CX45E, a 100% battery electric coach, to the US. The vehicles will be driven from Koningshooikt to Zeebrugge for shipment to the US.

UNECE to align heavy-duty vehicle engine emissions requirements with Euro VI

The UNECE Working Party on Pollution and Energy has approved a proposal to align the requirements on emissions from heavy-duty vehicle engines to the Euro VI legislation (EC Regulations 595/2009 and 582/2011), which enter into force in the European Union (EU) in January 2013. The proposal will be submitted to the World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations (WP.29) in June 2012 for its final adoption.

Number of electric buses in Europe has increased from around 200 to 2,200 in 5 years

Over the past five years, the number of electric buses in Europe has increased from around 200 to 2,200 vehicles, according to a report from Busworld. For some time now, it has no longer been a matter of small orders, but of large orders for a few dozen vehicles destined for Cologne, Wuppertal and QBuzz, among others, in the Netherlands. The Van Hool factory in Macedonia is building 900 buses this year; the factory is designed for an annual capacity of 1,000 buses.

The World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations has adopted a new version of UNECE Regulation No. 100 which introduces type approval requirements for all types of electric and hybrid vehicles’ electric safety requirements. The new version of the regulation offers car manufacturers the legal instrument to put into the market passenger and commercial vehicles with greener standards, reducing the costs and delays associated with multiple approvals in various countries.
