Kinder Morgan and Neste partner on major renewable fuels logistics project in US

Upon completion of the project, Kinder Morgan’s Harvey, Louisiana facility will serve as the primary hub where Neste will store a variety of raw materials including, for example, the used cooking oil it collects from more than 40,000 restaurants across the United States. More than 1 million gallons of SAF have been supplied into SFO to date.

Air Liquide Begins Operations of New Large-Scale Hydrogen Production Unit in California

Air Liquide’s latest large-scale hydrogen production unit recently began operations on the site of ConocoPhillips’ San Francisco refinery in Rodeo, California, on the north eastern shore of the San Francisco Bay. Air Liquide has more than doubled its US production capacity of hydrogen in the last five years.

The Synthetic Fuels Division was launched in 2014 as part of the acquisition of Syntroleum ( earlier post ) that included the 75 million gallon per year nameplate capacity biorefinery located in Geismar, Louisiana. Currently, San Francisco uses renewable diesel for its entire municipal fleet.

UPS announces renewable diesel agreements with Neste, REG and Solazyme; up to 46M gallons over next 3 years

Solazyme, headquartered in San Francisco, produces a blended fuel made from microalgae and other renewable feedstocks.
