Zipcar is launching the Zipvan service in Seattle, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Portland, Oregon today, and will roll out the service to its remaining metro markets in North America over the next 12 months. Zipvan started in London and today accounts for more than 10% of Zipcar’s UK operation. Car-sharing network Zipcar, Inc.

More than 140 FUSO eCanter light-duty trucks are already in use with customer in cities worldwide, including New York City, Tokyo, Berlin, London, Amsterdam, Paris and Lisbon. In the United States, the medium-duty Freightliner eM2 and the heavy-duty Freightliner eCascadia are also currently undergoing practical tests with customers.

Ford Motor Credit Company announced today Peer-2-Peer Car Sharing—a pilot program for select customers in six US cities and in London. US customers participate through the Web-based, mobile-friendly software of ride-share company Getaround, while London drivers connect through a similar rental system of easyCar Club.

VanMoof will add to its worldwide presence, growing from eight to 50 cities, including American cities Los Angeles, CA; Portland, OR; and Washington. Cities with brand stores currently include Amsterdam, London, Berlin, Paris, New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Tokyo. VanMoof’s expanded stores will offer sales and service.
