Iranian researchers produce biodiesel from flixweed seed oil

Under a project to deliver a new generation of green transport fuel, researchers the Islamic Azad University in Iran have produced biodiesel from flixweed seed oil. A 2009 study by a team in Lithuania found flixweed seeds contained 32.2% Flixweed ( Descurainia sophia ), also called tansy mustard, it is a member of the mustard family like the oilseed crop, canola. According to the US Forest Service, Flixweed is native to Europe and northern Africa.

Nordic green signs Agency Agreement with BioMCN for bio-methanol

Nordic Green, a company focused on the introduction of bio-methanol, has signed an Agency Agreement with BioMCN , a producer of bio-methanol, for the representation and sales of bio-methanol in Nordic (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland) and Baltic (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) countries. Glycerine from biodiesel plants is transported by ship, train or truck to the BioMCN plant.
