Eni reports important new discovery offshore Congo

Eni has been present in Sub-Saharan Africa since the 1960s and currently participates in exploration and production projects in Angola, Congo, Ghana, Gabon, Mozambique, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya and Liberia. Eni’s current operated production in the region is approximately 450,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.

ICCT study finds GHGs from shipping on the rise

Ships registered to Panama (15%), China (11%), Liberia (9%), Marshall Islands (7%), Singapore (6%), and Malta (5%) were the largest emitters. The study highlights that three ship classes and six flag states (country of registration) are responsible for the majority of emissions.
