Buzz on a 7,500 km (4,660-mile) road rally through nine European countries in 16 days as part of the Baltic Sea Circle Rally. I have also seen people advertising EVs on eBay who claim 100 mile range from a one hour charge using a standard 110V outlet. The basic equation governing the charging of batteries is W = V * A, or to put it into words, Watts equals Volts times Amps. Some industrial sites are even set up with 440V 3 phase service.

BYD , for examples, says their 60 mile range-extended vehicle can add 30 miles of range in ten minutes. Vancouvers trolley bus fleet operates at 600 volts and god knows how many amps. I dont like the idea of leasing a battery pack, or project Better Places pay for however-so-many miles on a plan and whatnot.
