Daimler brings truck platooning testing to Japan

After testing truck platooning in Europe ( earlier post ) and the US ( earlier post ), Daimler Trucks has begun testing platooning in Japan with its FUSO brand. Japan is a key market for us that is on the lookout and promotes new technologies. Right now, we keep developing the technology with Freightliner on public roads in the US.

Report: US to test Japans CHAdeMO quick charging system for EVs

The Yomiuri Shimbun reports that the US will incorporate 310 quick charges using Japan’s standardized CHAdeMO system ( earlier post ) in its large scale EV tests being held in Arizona, California, Texas, Tennessee, Oregon and Washington State. and TEPCO, set up the CHAdeMO Association to unify standards in Japan.

Mitsubishi Confirms i MiEV headed for US; Oregon and Portland General Electric Join Partnership Program

Nissan trialing eNV200 in Portland

Nissan is working in collaboration with Portland (Oregon) General Electric (PGE) on a six-week trial to help determine the viability of an electric commercial vehicle in the US market. Global geothermal industry passes 12,000 MW operational
