Stellantis is recalling 76,000 Chrysler plug-in hybrid minivans because a short circuit could cause the engine to unexpectedly shut down. The recall covers 67,000 2017-23 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivans in the United States and about 9,000 in other countries. The sudden loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.

With the same dimensions as its siblings powered by traditional internal combustion engines and a 3,050-millimeter wheelbase, the Rong Guang EV offers 5.1 Rong Guang EV.

Rivian has filed a new patent that describes a dual guide rail sliding door that would be perfect for a minivan. The design is driving speculation that Rivian could be on its way to develop the market’s first electric minivan just after it produced the industry’s first production version of an all-electric pickup truck.

Chrysler unveiled the all-new 2017 Pacifica minivan in both conventional and plug-in hybrid versions at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. The PHEV is the minivan segment’s first. The Pacifica Hybrid will deliver an estimated all-electric range of 30 miles from a 16-kWh lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery.

The concept, a family hauler with three rows of seating and room for up to seven, appears with its “Slick Bullet” exterior design—somewhat.
