Following the unveiling of its first electric SUV, the 2024 Prologue, Japanese automaker Honda has given us a sneak peek of two new electric concepts as part of the company’s ‘Keep Dreaming’ campaign.
Honda unveiled the Prologue at the end of 2022, but last week provided key details of the company’s first electric SUV, due to open pre-sales in the United States later this year ahead of deliveries which are slated for early 2024.
With a starting price in the upper $US40,000 bracket, the Honda Prologue is expected to receive an EPA range rating of 300 miles, or around 480 kilometres. DC fast charging at up to 155kW will add around 105km of range to the Prologue’s 85kWh lithium-ion battery pack in around 10 minutes.
The clean lines are billed as a “neo-rugged design” that is supposedly representative of its readiness to take on “adventures around town and outside the city limits.”
“The arrival of the all-new Honda Prologue is a pivotal moment for the brand as Honda begins the transition to our zero-emissions future,” said Lance Woelfer, assistant vice president of Honda National Auto Sales, American Honda Motor.
“Prologue is aptly named as our first volume Honda EV, a stylish, sporty and spacious SUV that will take us toward our vision of 100% zero emissions vehicle sales by 2040.”
Honda has followed up the details of the 2024 Prologue with a new 60-second ad, narrated by the new voice of Honda, actor and wrestling great John Cena.

The video is a timeline of where Honda has come from, and it’s hopes for the future, and in addition to detailing a number of the company’s green ambitions – including the company’s planned electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) plane and its algae-based fuel production – the video gave us a sneak peek of a Cadillac-esque electric sedan and an electric SUV in geometric-lines.
The electric sedan could possibly be based on the e:N2 Concept that Honda unveiled late last year, while the SUV could be a preview of the company’s planned “mid- to large-size EV” which is reportedly going to be built on Honda’s dedicated e-Architecture platform.
