Highlander Hybrid posted 1,098 sales, down 27.3%; sales of the conventional Highlander models were up 8%. GM hybrids currently comprise the Chevrolet Malibu, Saturn Aura and Vue BAS hybrids; and the Tahoe, Silverado, Yukon, Sierra, and Cadillac Escalade two-mode hybrids. Camry Hybrid sales were down 31.5% US LDV SAAR.

Non-core brand sales declined when compared with June as Pontiac dipped 7%; Saturn was down 21%, and HUMMER and Saab declined 26%. Highlander and Highlander Hybrid posted combined sales of 9,407 units, up 39.1% Highlander Hybrid sales were down 14.6%. GMC sales increased 8%, led by Sierra, Canyon and Yukon XL.

General Motors: The company sold 1,534 units in April which consisted of: 523 two-mode SUVS (Tahoe, Yukon Escalade); 95 two-mode pick-ups (Silverado, Sierra); 547 Malibu hybrids; 338 Saturn VUE hybrids; 31 Saturn Aura hybrids. per cent to 2,198 units, while sales of the Highlander Hybrid dropped by 63.8 per cent to 933 units.
