As a consequence, the Midwestern states have some of the highest levels of renewable energy on their grids.

POET Biorefining Chancellor (Chancellor) produces ethanol from corn and sorghum at a dry mill plant in Chancellor, South Dakota; the plant can produce up to 120 million gallons of undenatured ethanol per rolling twelve-month period. The plant obtains NG and electricity from local utility distribution grids.
