Tesla China will likely see its momentum in the domestic EV market accelerate, thanks to the country’s NEV purchase tax exemption being renewed next year. The NEV purchase tax exemption, which was launched in 2014, allowed most consumers who purchase green vehicles to save about RMB 10,000 (around $1,500).

A bill signed in Colorado will now allow lessees to claim any tax credits for hybrid cars and electric vehicles, rather than the lessor. Previously, the state had allowed banks or finance companies to choose whether claim the credits themselves on lease vehicles, or to pass the credits on to the lessee.

Exceeding its initial program targets, the plug-in 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid ( earlier post ) has earned an electric-mode fuel economy rating of 84 miles-per-gallon-equivalent (MPGe) from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid also excelled on two other fronts.
