EPA awards $8M in FY2014 clean diesel grants in 21 states, Puerto Rico

The grants will fund projects such as retrofitting older school buses to improve air quality for children riding to school, upgrading marine propulsion and agriculture engines, and replacing long haul truck engines. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced the availability of grant funding to implement projects which reduce emissions from the nation’s existing fleet of older diesel engines. Volvo Trucks Customer QCD orders 30 more VNR Electric trucks for Southern California fleet

Last April, QCD ordered its first batch of 14 leased Volvo VNR Electric trucks with funding support from a grant awarded to Volvo Financial Services from the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee’s (MSRC) Inland Port Program. The remaining trucks of the order will be deployed throughout 2022 and early 2023.
