Golf carts aren’t just for golfers anymore. In fact, they’re getting much more use away from the golfing green as an alternative to cars in neighborhoods all over the US. Now Kandi America’s new collapsible mini golf cart is trying to reframe the concept of low-impact urban transportation.

LSVs are more than a golf cart—they are street legal on most roads posted 35 mph or less. With GEM Go, users drop a pin or enter an address, and the map will populate with a radius of all roadways 35 mph or less. Yet knowing where those roads are and where a GEM can take you can be a challenge.

A special-purpose vehicle developer out of South Korea has introduced a new line of electric golf carts that can bring more technology and comfort to the game. However, Daeji P&I caught our eye as an upcoming exhibitor at the PGA America Show, where it will showcase its Cruise LABE line of electric golf carts.

So if you are lucky enough to live in an area that has friendlier golf cart and NEV laws, or simply play your cards right on a busy day at the DMV, you might just be able to slip one of these out onto the streets. Of course, don’t expect that advertised $2,600 price to hold up for very long.

Capable of a 62 MPH top speed and only around 75 and 110 miles of range per charge, the vehicle’s base model is available for a respectable $4,200. It won’t go over 62 MPH, but it’s another gas car off the road, something that is always a positive. kWh battery and the other a 13.8 kWh battery.
