In Germany, all Mercedes-Benz plants will be supplied with CO 2 -neutral energy. From 2022, the production of our Mercedes-Benz plants in Germany will operate CO 2 -neutral. Already existing highly efficient gas CHP systems additionally generate local heat and power at the factories. The plant will start operating in 2019.

In 2019, during the UITP Global Public Transport Summit representatives of Solaris and RATP Group (Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens) signed a contract for lease and tests of the Urbino 12 hydrogen. The bus is also fitted with a Solaris High Power battery acting as an additional electric power storage facility.

Topsoe and green ammonia early-mover First Ammonia have entered into a capacity reservation agreement to kickstart the global market for green ammonia. First Ammonia has been developing sites around the globe with the first installation of 500MW of capacity to be installed at locations in Northern Germany and Southwestern United States.
